Dr. Richards completed his clinical training at Harvard Medical School and is a Fellow of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies. He is Board Certified in Behavioral and Cognitive Psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology and is also a Diplomate, Fellow, and Certified Supervisor of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy. He has served on the faculty of the Doctoral Program in Psychology at Seton Hall University and has served as Staff Psychologist at The American Institute for Cognitive Therapy where he worked closely with Dr. Robert Leahy. Dr. Richards also received advanced clinical training from The Beck Institute in Philadelphia, from Dr. Albert Ellis in NY, and from Dr. David Shapiro at the Graduate Faculty of the New School for Social Research.
